The Ethnic News Media at Community Media Workshop (CMW) is sponsoring Mobilizing Ethnic Communities to Vote, a FREE brown bag session intended to help journalists find out what issues are impacting ethnic communities this election year and campaigns to engage these communities to create stronger civic engagement.
Moderated by Stephen Franklin from CMW, the panelists for this event include
- Abdelnasser Rashid ( IL Coalition for Immigrants and Refugee Rights)
- Kathleen Jung Hee Fernicola (Asian American Institute)
- Isabel Anadon (Latino Policy Forum)
- and Michael Calamese (NEIU, Carrruthers Center for Inner City Studies).
The session will be held at Columbia College from 10:00AM to 11:30AM on Tuesday, October 2nd at 33 East Congress.
